UNILORIN Post UTME Form 2020/2021 Screening Application Process.

UNILORIN Post UTME Form: University of Ilorin, UNILORIN Post UTME admission screening registration and application form for 2020/2021 academic session is yet to be announced. This page covers full instructions and guidelines for UNN UTME undergraduate application 2020.

The portal for online registration is normally open between May, July or September of every year. Meanwhile, take your time and read through the eligibility requirement and application process provided below.

UPDATE: The management of the institution has urged all candidates who used awaiting result to upload their result on UNILORIN Portal and JAMB CAPS Portal.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) various undergraduate programmes for the 2019/2020 academic session.

UNILORIN Pre-Admission Registration Period is from 25th June to 20th July, 2019.

Please note that wrong entries will automatically disqualifies a candidate.

UNILORIN Post UTME Eligibility

Only candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2019/2020 UTME Admission and chose the University of Benin as First Choice and scored 180 and above are eligible for this Screening Exercise

How to Obtain Form

APPLY HERE

On the home page of the University of Ilorin website, click on 2019/2020 Pre-Admission Screening Procedure.

All candidates are advised to click on Pre-Admission Screening Instructions and carefully read the Registration Instructions before proceeding.

  1. Ensure that you have valid and active email address and phone number.
  2. On the Admission Menu displayed on the left-hand side, click Pre-Admission Screening Registration.
  3. Fill in the require details as required for the displayed fields.

Note: Actual Registration fee for each candidate is N2,000 only excluding bank charges.

Thereafter:

  1. Candidates should click on the Get Details button for your JAMB information; and
  2. Click on Make Payment link to go to Remita platfom. Note: UTME Candidates who are qualified for the courses originally chosen can proceed to make payment by supplying the required information. However, UTME Candidates who are not qualified for the course originally chosen are advised to change their course as indicated on the payment page.
  3. Make Payment
    • Select your ATM card type (e.g Visa or Master Card)
    • Enter your Card Number
    • Enter Card Expiry Date and the card CVV2  (the 3 digits on the reverse side of the card and lastly enter your card pin; and
    • Click on Pay.
  4. Upon successful payment, Click on Pre-Admission Sceening Login
  5. Click on Continue Registration Link on the left hand side
  6. Fill in your other bio-data and necessary details truthfully on the webpage. All candidates should upload their Passports Photograph by clicking on Browse button and select your picture. Your Passport Photograph must not be more than 25KB.
    PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH SPECIFICATION
    • The acceptable format is JPEG.
    • The picture must be digital passport photograph.
    • The rResolution must be at least 200 DPI.
    • The dimension should not be less than 600 × 600 pixels.
    • Each photograph should capture the head and top of the shoulders so that the face takes up to 70-80% of the photograph.
    • Show the eyes looking directly at the camera.
    • Show skin tone naturally.
    • Have a uniform red background.
    • Maximum of 25KB.

  1. On completion of bio-data. click on Next Step button then click OK on the message dialog box.
  2. For Direct Entry (DE) candidates;
    • Direct Entry candidates are required to select their Highest Academic Qualification(s) from the drop-down and click on Save. On the dialog box click OK;
    • To add more Higher Academic Qualifications click on qualifications drop-down to select your additional qualifications, click on save; and
    • Click on Next Step.
  3. All candidates (UTME and DE) are required to supply their O’ level (O/L) details as follows:
    • Pick Number of sitting(s) by clicking on the drop-down button
    • Enter all the required O’ level (O/L) details; Pick as applicable in your result; and
    • Click on Submit button then click OK on the message dialog box.
    • Falsification of result will lead to automatic disqualification at any stage.
  4. Click Scheduling Tab. All candidates must select a screening centre from the drop-down menu. Note that an alert will be immediately sent to your e-mail provided in your bio-data.
  5. Click Print Tab to print out the following:
    • Pre-Admission Screening Registration form;
    • Scheduling Slip; and
    • Payment Receipt.

Please note:  (Do not Refresh your browser while the process is going on to avoid multiple deductions from your account. If nothing is displayed after 10 minutes, close the browser and restart).

Note:

  • All candidates are expected to be at the screening centre an hour before their scheduled time with the above printouts and be decently dressed inline with the University of Ilorin Dress Code. Click here to view University of Ilorin Dress Code
  • You are to also upload your O/Level results on the JAMB CAPS.
  • The result of PUTME will not be released until 25th of August, 2019.
  • Ensure to visit the Unilorin Portal on the 15th of August, 2019 to confirm your entries.

Well, today I’ve decided to cook up something that is going to answer your question in full about Nursing Schools in Nigeria And Their School Fees.

But before I go any further in unleashing this list of nursing schools in Nigeria, I would like to first of all highlight you with the admission requirements of every nursing Programme in Nigeria together with some other information I would want you to still know about.   

Admission Requirements for Various Nursing Programmes

1. General Nursing Programme (RN)

Candidates for admission into General Nursing Education programme of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria must possess the senior secondary school certificate (SSCE) or it’s equivalent with five credits to include English, either physics, chemistry or biology, at not more than two sittings.

  • Duration of study: Three (3) Calendar years.
  • Registration obtained: Registered Nurse (RN).

2. Post Basic Midwifery Programme (RM)

Candidate must be a registered Nurse and must also meet all institutional requirements to be admitted into any of the schools of midwifery.

  • Duration of study: One (1) Calendar year.
  • Registration obtained: Registered Midwife (RM).

3. Post Basic Psychiatric Nursing Programme

Candidate must be a registered nurse and must also meet all institutional requirements to be admitted into any of the eight (8) schools of psychiatric nursing.

  • Duration of study: One (1) Calendar year.
  • Registration obtained: Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN).

4. Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree Programme (B. N.sc)

Candidate must possess Five Credits Level passes in WASSCE/SSCE or its equivalent at not more than two sittings. Subject must include English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics. Candidates must also meet all institutional requirements.

  • Duration of study: Five (5) Calendar years with one year internship in a recognized health care institution.
  • Registration obtained: Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN) and Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN).
  • Academic qualification: Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree (B.N.sc)

How Much Do Nurses Earn in Nigeria?

As a certified nurse working in a hospital here in nigeria the least amount you can earn is sixty-five thousand to ninety thousand naira (65,000-90,000). You can also earn something above this depending on the hospital you work

However, payment you get as a nurse depends on your level of experience.

What Types of Nurses are in a Higher Demand in Nigeria?

 The type of nursing that are in higher demand are as follows:

Nursing student does not go for the nysc programme.

But individuals who studied BSc. Nursing can go for national youth service corps (nysc). This is because the affairs of the BSc programmes are been handled by jamb.

General Requirements.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS PGD & M.Sc.

An applicant for admission to a programme shall be:
1. Must possess a Bachelors’s degree of this University or any approved University;
2. A person who holds other qualification(s) recognized by senate of the University of Lagos;
3. In addition to (i) and (ii) above, an applicant may be required, as a condition for admission, to undergo a selection process in the form of written and/or oral examinations.

NOTES:
1. (i) Candidates who have not completed the National Youth Service Corps programme or currently undergoing a Postgraduate programme need not apply. Such applicants will be automatically disqualified.
2. Candidates awaiting Bachelor’s degree results need not apply.
3. A holder of Degree obtained from an Outreach/Satellite are not eligible to apply.
4. All academic transcripts must reach the Deputy Registrar/Administrative Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies on or before the start of the session admission is being sought.

UNILAG POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION GENERAL REQUIREMENTS for M.Phil and Ph.D

Masters of Philosophy (M.Phil)
To qualify for admission to the above programme:
(i) Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s honours degree from this University or any other approved University with at least a Second Class (Upper Division).
(ii) Candidates with a Master’s degree with a minimum of CGPA of at least 3.50.
(iii) All candidates to the M.Phil. programmes must contact the respective department for availability of supervisors before applying.
(iv) The candidate may be required to undergo a selection process as determined by the respective department.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)
(i) A candidate who has obtained the degree of Master of Philosophy must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0.
(ii) A candidate who has obtained the degree of Masters of Science must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0.
(iii) Candidates must clear with the respective Departments as to the availability of vacancies/supervisors before applying.
(iv) All candidates may be required to undergo a selection process as may be determined by the department.
For M. Phil and Ph.D. programmes only, admission shall be processed at the beginning of each semester.

UNILAG (SPGS) Postgraduate Admission Form 2020/2021 [Full & Part-Time]

1. Sale of Application Forms commences on Monday, 25th May, 2020 and ends on Sunday, 14th August, 2020.
2. Completed Application Forms are to be submitted online not later than Sunday, 21st August, 2020.
3. Visit the School of Postgraduate Studies University of Lagos Portal, http://spgs.unilag.edu.ngClick the 2020/2021 Applications link;
4. Confirm availability and your eligibility of the desired course;
5. Click the “Application Form” link and select the Postgraduate option from the Application Type menu;
6. Complete the Pre-Application Form to obtain a Payment Reference Number. (please print the payment advice);
7. Proceed to make payment of the sum of ₦22,500.00 (Twenty Two Thousand and Five Hundred Naira Only) for the Form, and charges through any of the below options:
a. Remita Payment: Any commercial bank using the RRR number displayed on the payment advice
b. Online Payment: Click the Pay Now link to make payment directly on the portal with your bank debit card.
8. After payment, return to the School of Postgraduate Studies website https://ift.tt/1sosaBl, click the 2020/2021 Application link, then “Continue Application” link, login with Payment Reference Number and provide surname in lowercase as password;
9. Complete the Application form and upload digital passport photograph (jpeg format) which should not be more than 15KB in size and must be on a white background. The acceptable dimension is width: 275 pixels or 35mm, height: 314 pixels or 40mm. (Failure to comply with specified image format may lead to disqualification.);
10. Click “SUBMIT FORM” button if the information is correct, else, click DECLINE button (CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO COMPLETE THE FINAL SUBMISSION ONLY AFTER THEY HAVE FULLY COMPLETED THE FORM, PLEASE NOTE THAT EDITING OF APPLICATION FORM AFTER FINAL SUBMISSION ATTRACTS A ₦1,000 CHARGE);
11. After submission, applicants will be required to print and laminate the “Examination Pass” one week to the entrance examination date (this will be required as a means of identification at the examination venue); and

The University Librarian shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the overall administration of the University Library and its branches providing Library and information services for the entire University community.

Duties

The University Librarian is the academic and professional Head of the University Library and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and management of the University Library and its branches.

By the virtue of his/her position, the University Librarian is a Principal Officer of the University.

The Candidate

  • A Christian (preferably of Baptist denomination) who is visionary, innovative, of high integrity with excellent interpersonal communication.
  • He/she must be able to instill confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people, especially the library staff and users.
  • He/she must fully understand the complexity of the University System and must be able to effectively utilize its human resource to develop a library system that will fully support the aspirations of the University to attain world class status.
  • He must enjoy good physical and mental health and must be between 45 and 55 years of age as of the time of assumption of duty.
  • He/she must be ICT compliant and able to move the University towards virtual library application and platforms.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a good honours degree from a recognized University and a Master degree in Library and Information Science or its equivalent and must have had not less than fifteen (15) years of relevant post-graduation experience, five (5) of which must be in University Administration and must show evidence of active research supported by a substantial number of scholarly publications in refereed journals.

He/she must be a certified Librarian with evidence of membership of recognised professional bodies (e.g. Nigerian Library Association (NLA) etc). Possession of a doctorate degree will be an added advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

  1. The appointment shall be for a single term of five (5) years.

The Position of the Bursar

The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University. He/she shall also, from time-to-time, provide expert advice on issues of investment to generate revenue as well as disbursement of funds. He/she will perform oversight functions over the University’s Commercial Services.

The Bursar shall oversee all financial, accounting, reporting, resource mobilization, fund raising, sponsorship, grants, subventions, endorsement drives, revenue generation activities, tax and insurance functions of the University.

The Candidate, Qualifications and Experience

The candidate for the post of Bursar must:

  • Be a Christian (Preferably of Baptist Denomination)
  • Possess a good University degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Be a registered member or Fellow of any of the following Professional Bodies: ICAN, ICMA, CPA, ACCA etc.
  • Be ICT compliant and conversant with current trends in financial reporting – IFRS, IPSAS.
  • Have proven knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Package especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Be between the ages of 45 and 55 years as of the time of assumption of duty.
  • Have not less than twelve (12) years of relevant post qualification experience in University Administration or similar institution.

The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University. S/he is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University except as otherwise stated by the University Charter.
